Ahmadinejad Reassures Inventors, Innovators

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Tuesday amending the law on registering inventions and innovations is on his government’s agenda.

“Presently registration of inventions is within the framework of registration of companies under the supervision of the judiciary. The fact that a scientific innovation and invention is subject to accurate study of (university) faculty members, was discussed at the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution,” the president told the Third National Festival of Innovation and Prosperity, IRNA reported.
He said under the present circumstances an inventor who for years has toiled to complete an invention cannot stand up for his/her rights and is obliged to file a complaint with the judiciary.
“If the instruments for amending the law on registering inventions could be charted out at the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution, we will change the law. If not, we will send a bill to the Majlis to amend the law,” he noted.
The president reiterated government backing for inventors and said his administration is determined to create the conditions for offering the opportunity to commercialize inventions.
“The National Foundation of Elites should mobilize for this purpose. The resources for the fund for supporting knowledge-based companies, which in essence are a form of support for inventors, will be made available to companies and innovators.”
He urged inventors and innovators to heed the humanitarian dimensions of scientific work and focus on self-confidence.
Ahmadinejad said Iran’s scientific drive is different from the Western model.
“The path undertaken by others has incurred irreparable damage on humanity…We should avoid that course. Our objectives and theirs are different. Iran wants progress and advancement to be at the service of peace, global justice and welfare of human beings…It does not want to plunder public wealth or humiliate the people,” he noted.

“Our numbers are growing!”

Posted in News on January 8, 2011 by dino

“There will be much work for us to do in the next year and in the next Congress,” continued Paul. “We need look no further than the grossly unconstitutional and immoral policies of the Transportation Security Administration – demanding that we either be irradiated or fondled to travel in our own country – to see that those who would deprive us of our civil liberties on the empty promise of full security will not be giving up easily. We must continue standing up to them and we must not compromise. We must not allow the out-of-control Department of Homeland Security to impose an East German-like police state in the U.S., where neighbors are encouraged by Big Brother or Big Sister to inform on their neighbors. We must not accept that government authorities should hector us via television screens as we go about our private lives, like we are living in Orwell’s 1984.

“I am optimistic that the incoming members of Congress understand the importance of what they have been entrusted with by the American people,” closed Paul. “But I do hope that those who elected them will watch their actions — and their votes in Congress – carefully. An early indication will be the upcoming vote on reauthorization of the anti-American PATRIOT Act. Defeat once and for all of this police-state legislation will be a great way to start 2011 and the 112th Congress. We must move ahead with confidence. Our numbers are growing.”  More>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the altruistic nature of the Iranian nation has blocked enemy efforts to gain their objectives, emphasizing on the nation’s firm resolve to resist.

The Iranian nation will only rely on God and resist against arrogant powers with all their resources and without foreign support, said the president in the province of Semnan on Tuesday, IRNA reported.

He added that Iranians firm confronted global arrogance following the victory of the Islamic Revolution (in 1979) and single-handedly resisted against major global powers during Iran’s defensive war in 1980’s, “something that is more than a miracle.”

The president further noted that during the war the enemy also tried to portray our ‘sacred defense’ as aggression, adding that countries engaged in such ploys are today “on verge of collapse.”

He then asked, “Where is that former American president that claimed he wanted to uproot the Iranian nation?”

“Today, the Iranian nation is shining in the world. The name of Iran and its culture, history and values serve as a model and guideline for other nations in the world,” President Ahmadinejad concluded.

Constitution of Iran to appear in ten more languages

Tehran Times: The Al-Hoda International Publications will publish ten more translations of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran during the Ten Day Dawn celebrations.

The celebration is held annually from February 1 to 11 in commemoration of the anniversary of the victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution of 1979.

The book has been translated into the Hebrew, Swedish, Hungarian, Filipino, Georgian, Croat, Kurdish, Pashtu, Kyrgyz and Uzbek languages.

“This book has been translated into 41 languages by now and after the Holy Quran and the Bible, it is the most widely translated book,” he said.

A book containing paintings of the Islamic Revolution of 1979 provided with French, Arabic and English captions will also be unveiled during a ceremony during the Ten Day Dawn Celebration.

Release of the second edition of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran in English and Arabic demonstrates the warm reception of the book in these and other countries, he said

Storybook Brings Slain Child’s Imagination to Life

Iran News: The little girl’s white, four-post bed is empty, her favorite doll Natalie atop it. Her pink plate and cup are set on the kitchen table; her vitamins await. The last CD she listened to is in her little stereo, the last lesson she learned on the blackboard, the last month she was alive frozen on the unturned page of the calendar.

Since a relative’s Thanksgiving Day 2009 shooting rampage at their home, Jim and Muriel Sitton have faced a horrific balancing act: moving on past the time-stopping grief of losing their 6-year-old daughter Makayla Joy, and helping to realize her unfulfilled dreams.

One of Makayla’s hopes — to someday publish a book — has now come to life in “The Bear’s Castle,” a simple story of a little bear who wants to make all his wishes come true. It is accompanied by a recording of the girl’s initial telling of the story.

“We are trying to bring something good out of the ashes that is our life at this point,” Jim Sitton said.

A foundation bearing Makayla’s name carries on her love of dance and music, and it receives all profits from sales of the book. An annual concert has been started in her honor. And her plans for a Christmas pageant are coming to fruition.

Her parents hope children who open the storybook will find some joy in one of her creations, a tiny fragment of the happiness she brought to her family. Yet they can’t paper over the past, so it simply remains untouched in their home in a manicured development in this beachside town since the night a family tradition turned into a massacre.

“How do you cope with that?” asked the girl’s father. “You don’t heal, time doesn’t heal. The hole is still there.”

Thanksgiving always was the family’s favorite holiday. Some 16 people gathered at their home Nov. 26, 2009, including a last-minute guest, Muriel Sitton’s cousin Paul Merhige.

They enjoyed a traditional dinner and then gathered in a horseshoe around their brown Baldwin piano to sing and dance, mostly church songs. As the night wore on, police say Merhige left the house, only to return with a gun.

Imam Khomeini’s Sayings, Photos Registered

Iran Daily:s A collection of sayings and photos of Imam Khomeini, the father of Islamic Revolution, has been registered on Iran’s Memory of the World List.

According to Fars News Agency, the collection includes over 900 hours of Imam Khomeini’s interviews, photos, statements and last will.

The collection, which is being kept at the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting’s (IRIB) archive, will also be submitted for inclusion on the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Memory of the World Register list.

The collection will be first submitted to the International Advisory Committee that guides the planning and implementation of the Memory of the World Program.

Director of Iran’s Evaluation Committee for the UNESCO program, Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Ali Abhari, said Iran submits two documentaries to UNESCO every two years.

“’The Shahnameh of Baysonqur’, one of the three ancient copies of Ferdowsi’s epic masterpiece, and the ‘Endowment Deed of Rab-e Rashidi’ were inscribed on UNESCO’s list in 2007,” he said.
The two-day workshop was organized to familiarize participants with the process of selecting and submitting documents to UNESCO.

English Translation of ‘Da’ Underway

Iran Daily: The Persian novel ‘Da’ is being translated into English by American university professor and translator Paul Sprachman.

Centered on the 1980-88 Iraq-Iran war (known as Sacred Defense), the book was a bestseller in 2009, Mehr News Agency said.

Released by Soureh-Mehr Publications, it tells the true story of narrator Zahra Husseini in the early days of the Iran-Iraq war. The story begins with her return from Iraq to Iran and continues with the heartbreaking events of the days when Khorramshahr was captured by the Iraqi Army.

The story is narrated beautifully with all the details. It also briefs one with the history of life and migration as it took place before the beginning of the war.

Paul Sprachman has so far translated other Soureh-Mehr publications such as Habib Ahmadzadeh’s ‘Chess with the Doomsday Machine’ and Amir Hosseini Fardi’s ‘Ismail’.

9/11 Truth is Still the Issue

From the introduction:
9/11 Truth is the issue for-ending the wars of aggression that have wreaked such havoc on the world and so far resulted in the loss of thousands of Americans and over a million Iraqis, not to mention the scores of Afghanis and Pakistanis that the Western media finds too unimportant to even tally.

9/11 Truth is the issue for exposing one of the largest swindles in history, the 2.3 trillion dollars that Donald Rumsfeld pronounced “missing” from the Pentagon’s coffers on September 10, 2001, the day before the attack on the most heavily defended building in the world that left the very office that was investigating those missing trillions smoking in ruins.
9/11 Truth is the issue for unraveling decades of manipulation of foreign “terrorist assets” in calculated strategies of tension that have left thousands of dead bodies in their wake, all directly attributable to the machinations of intelligence agencies and their cohorts.
9/11 Truth is one of the few issues that gives any hope at striking at the true root of the system that has acted so concertedly against the interests of the people and resulted in the erection of a control grid to watch over the populace for the benefit of the plutocrats, the well-connected and the banksters

Iran nabs eight more terror suspects
Thu Dec 16, 2010 9:38PM

Iran has arrested eight terrorists connected to the deadly terror bombing in the Iranian southeastern city of Chabahar that killed and wounded scores of people.

Special security forces, in an intelligence operation, succeeded in identifying and captured eight more terrorist tied to the attack in southern Sistan-Baluchestan Province, according to an informed source in Iran’s Intelligence Ministry, quoted by ISNA on Thursday.

The terror bombing took place at the Imam Hussein (PBUH) mosque in Chabahar on Wednesday as crowds had gathered to participate in mourning ceremonies commemorating the martyrdom of the grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and the third Shia Imam.

At least 34 people, including women and children, were killed and 83 others were wounded in an attack.

Another Intelligence Ministry official announced Wednesday that three terrorists that entered Iran from “one of the neighboring countries” planned to carry out blind attacks in southern and eastern parts of the country.

“One of them was killed in a clash with Intelligence Ministry forces,” the official said.

The second terrorist, according to the official, was nabbed as he tried to flee the country “but, unfortunately, the third terrorist was able to carry out the attack.”

One of the perpetrators of the attack was arrested on Thursday on the Iranian border with Pakistan, Deputy Governor of the Sistan-Baluchistan province Jalal Sayah said on Thursday.

Jundallah, a Pakistani-based terrorist group that has carried out a number of bombings, assassination attempts, and terror attacks in the southeastern province, claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement published by the Saudi-owned al-Arabiya satellite news channel.

Jundallah’s leader Abdolmalek Rigi was arrested by Iranian intelligence forces in February 2010 and executed in June for 79 counts of terror offenses, including armed robbery, bombing campaigns and armed assaults on police and civilians.

In his confessions, Rigi confirmed that the terror group received training in Pakistan and that “certain Pakistani officials issued travel documents for the terrorists,” Iran’s deputy interior minister said earlier on Thursday.

Rigi also revealed details of his dealings with US government and military operatives in a televised confession, saying that he was promised unlimited funds and resources for “waging an insurgency” in Iran.

H.E. Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
President of the Islamic Republic of Iran
Before the
65th Session of the United Nations General Assembly
New York
23 September 2010

“The nuclear bomb is the worst inhumane weapon and which must totally be eliminated. The NPT prohibits its development and stockpiling and calls for nuclear disarmament.

Nonetheless, note what some of the permanent members of the Security Council and nuclear bomb holders have done:
They have equated nuclear energy with the nuclear bomb, and have distanced this energy from the reach of most of nations by establishing monopolies and pressuring the IAEA. While at the same time, they have continued to maintain, expand and upgrade their own nuclear arsenals.

This has entailed the following:

Not only the nuclear disarmament has not been realized but also nuclear bombs have been proliferated in some regions, including by the occupying and intimidating Zionist regime.

I would like here to propose that the year 2011 be proclaimed the year of nuclear disarmament and “Nuclear Energy for all, Nuclear Weapons for None.”

Ron Paul – In the Name of Patriotism (Who are the Patriots?)

Ron Paul- “Questions to consider:” -btw Dr. Paul acts just like a President should.

Posted in News on December 11, 2010 by dino

Questions to consider:

Number 1: Do the America People deserve know the truth regarding the ongoing wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Yemen?

Number 2: Could a larger question be how can an army private access so much secret information?

Number 3: Why is the hostility mostly directed at Assange, the publisher, and not at our governments failure to protect classified information?

Number 4: Are we getting our moneys worth of the 80 Billion dollars per year spent on intelligence gathering?

Number 5: Which has resulted in the greatest number of deaths: lying us into war or Wikileaks revelations or the release of the Pentagon Papers?

Number 6: If Assange can be convicted of a crime for publishing information that he did not steal, what does this say about the future of the first amendment and the independence of the internet?

Number 7: Could it be that the real reason for the near universal attacks on Wikileaks is more about secretly maintaining a seriously flawed foreign policy of empire than it is about national security?

Number 8: Is there not a huge difference between releasing secret information to help the enemy in a time of declared war, which is treason, and the releasing of information to expose our government lies that promote secret wars, death and corruption?

Number 9: Was it not once considered patriotic to stand up to our government when it is wrong?

Thomas Jefferson had it right when he advised ‘Let the eyes of vigilance never be closed.’

I yield back the balance of my time.

Entire speech:

TRANSCRIPT:

WikiLeaks release of classified information has generated a lot of attention in the past few weeks. The hysterical reaction makes one wonder if this is not an example of killing the messenger for the bad news. Despite what is claimed, the information that has been so far released, though classified, has caused no known harm to any individual, but it has caused plenty of embarrassment to our government. Losing our grip on our empire is not welcomed by the neoconservatives in charge.

There is now more information confirming that Saudi Arabia is a principal supporter and financier of al Qaeda, and that this should set off alarm bells since we guarantee its Sharia-run government. This emphasizes even more the fact that no al Qaeda existed in Iraq before 9/11, and yet we went to war against Iraq based on the lie that it did. It has been charged by experts that Julian Assange, the internet publisher of this information, has committed a heinous crime, deserving prosecution for treason and execution, or even assassination.

But should we not at least ask how the U.S. government should prosecute an Australian citizen for treason for publishing U.S. secret information that he did not steal? And if WikiLeaks is to be prosecuted for publishing classified documents, why shouldn’t the Washington Post, the New York Times, and others also published these documents be prosecuted? Actually, some in Congress are threatening this as well.
Story continues below
Advertisement

The New York Times, as a results of a Supreme Court ruling, was not found guilty in 1971 for the publication of the Pentagon Papers. Daniel Ellsberg never served a day in prison for his role in obtaining these secret documents. The Pentagon Papers were also inserted into the Congressional record by Senator Mike Gravel, with no charges of any kind being made of breaking any national security laws. Yet the release of this classified information was considered illegal by many, and those who lied us into the Vietnam war, and argued for its prolongation were outraged. But the truth gained from the Pentagon Papers revealed that lies were told about the Gulf of Tonkin attack. which perpetuated a sad and tragic episode in our history.

Just as with the Vietnam War, the Iraq War was based on lies. We were never threatened by weapons of mass destruction or al Qaeda in Iraq, though the attack on Iraq was based on this false information. Any information which challenges the official propaganda for the war in the Middle East is unwelcome by the administration and the supporters of these unnecessary wars. Few are interested in understanding the relationship of our foreign policy and our presence in the Middle East to the threat of terrorism. Revealing the real nature and goal of our presence in so many Muslim countries is a threat to our empire, and any revelation of this truth is highly resented by those in charge.

• The Majlis of Iran comprises 290 members elected for four-year terms.

• The Majlis drafts legislation, ratifies international treaties, and approves the national budget. All Majlis candidates and all legislation from the assembly must be approved by the Council of Guardians.

• The Council of Guardians comprises twelve jurists including six appointed by the Supreme Leader. The others are elected by the Parliament from among the jurists nominated by the Head of the Judiciary.

• The Council interprets the constitution and may veto Parliament. If a law is deemed incompatible with the constitution or Sharia (Islamic law), it is referred back to Parliament for revision.

• In a controversial exercise of its authority, the Council has drawn upon a narrow interpretation of Iran’s constitution to veto parliamentary candidates. The Expediency Council has the authority to mediate disputes between Parliament and the Council of Guardians, and serves as an advisory body to the Supreme Leader, making it one of the most powerful governing bodies in the country.

• The Supreme Leader appoints the head of Iran’s Judiciary, who in turn appoints the head of the Supreme Court and the chief public prosecutor.

• There are several types of courts including public courts that deal with civil and criminal cases, and “revolutionary courts” which deal with certain categories of offenses, including crimes against national security. The decisions of the revolutionary courts are final and cannot be appealed.

• The Special Clerical Court handles crimes allegedly committed by clerics, although it has also taken on cases involving lay people. The Special Clerical Court functions independently of the regular judicial framework and is accountable only to the Supreme Leader. The Court’s rulings are final and cannot be appealed.

• The Assembly of Experts, which meets for one week annually, comprises 86 “virtuous and learned” clerics elected by adult suffrage for eight-year terms. As with the presidential and parliamentary elections, the Council of Guardians determines candidates’ eligibility.
• The Assembly elects the Supreme Leader and has the constitutional authority to remove the Supreme Leader from power at any time. It has not challenged any of the Supreme Leader’s decisions.

• Local City Councils are elected by public vote to four-year terms in all cities and villages of Iran. According to article seven of Iran’s Constitution, these local councils together with the Parliament are “decision-making and administrative organs of the State”. This section of the constitution was not implemented until 1999 when the first local council elections were held across the country. Councils have many different responsibilities including electing mayors, supervising the activities of municipalities; studying, planning, co-ordinating and implementing of social, cultural, educational, health, economic, and welfare requirements of their constituencies.

Climate Change Idiocy and The Economist

By Alan Caruba
For a brief period I subscribed to The Economist, the London-based internationally distributed magazine, but I stopped as it became obvious that its editors are idiots and the general purpose of the magazine is to ignore any and all facts that might contradict their obsession with “global warming” and now “climate change.”

Last year, The Economist had a cover that said, “Stop Climate Change.” That’s like saying stop the Earth from circumnavigating the Sun. The issue came out about the same time as the entire fictitious infrastructure of “global warming” came undone and resulted in the collapse of the last United Nations conference of liars who had gathered in Copenhagen to impose the purchase, sale and trade of “carbon credits” on the world.

A year later, the Chicago Exchange that had been set up to cash in on the scam had closed its doors. The one in Europe is selling carbon credits for pennies these days. Naturally, California, besotted with global warming idiocy, is preparing to have its own exchanges.

Apparently, despite glaring headlines in British newspapers, no one at The Economist was aware that the Climate Research Unit (CRU) of East Anglia University had been found to be rigging the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change data for years. Having collected millions of pounds for its bogus research, we are still waiting for its director, Phil Jones, to find accommodations in Reading Goal, a famed British prison.

Did the Economist’s editors learn anything in the past year? No. Indeed, its latest issue sports a cover that says “How to Live with Climate Change.” In a year’s time, they have gone from saying stop climate change to learn to live with it. Is there a choice?

This is not the most original idea given the fact that human beings have been living with climate change since we climbed down from the trees and began walking upright, developing language, and spreading across the face of the Earth.

Eskimos found ways to survive in the Arctic. Polynesians learned to travel among Pacific islands. Everywhere civilizations came and went while agriculture was introduced to feed more and more people who, in turn, preferred living in cities as opposed to plowing the soil. The art and science of war flourished.

The Economist focused its attention on next week’s “meeting of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change”, the subject of a conference to be held in Cancun, Mexico.

You may recall that President Obama attended last year’s conference in Copenhagen that foundered on the news that there never was any dramatic increase in the Earth’s temperature.

Leaked emails revealed that the only “proof” of “global warming” could be found in corrupt, falsified computer models churned out by the CRU and a coordinated climate scam out of Pennsylvania State University, the recipient of comparable “climate research” funding.

The President had to depart early because of a massive blizzard that enveloped Copenhagen.

Even the Economist had to admit that “in the wake of the Copenhagen summit, there is a growing acceptance that the effort to avert serious climate change has run out of steam.” That’s also likely due to the fact that there is no way to “avert serious climate change.”

The Economist, however, held out hope that “a few climatic disasters” might get the scam going again.

It is an act of journalistic criminality to publish outright lies, but The Economist is not deterred by anything resembling the truth. It asserts a “likelihood “ that “the Earth will be at least 3 degrees Celsius warmer at the end of this century than it was at the beginning of the industrial revolution, less warming is possible, but so is more, and quicker.” So there could be less, but there could be more

This is utter rot.

It is typical of the way “global warming” was always predicted to arrive twenty, fifty or a hundred years from now; all based on manipulated and mendacious computer models. The usual predictions of heat waves, droughts, along with melting poles and glaciers are cited in its cover editorial.

Just as the Cancun festival of climate lies will do, The Economist rhapsodizes about a massive redistribution of wealth from industrialized developed nations to those in the grip of despots, Islam, communism or other systems that keep them poor. When interviewed recently, IPCC official, Ottmar Edenhofer, a German economist, bluntly said that “One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy,”

So what is climate change policy really about? It is about how “we redistribute de facto the world’s wealth….” If this sounds like the usual communist claptrap, it is.

6 Proposals for

Caspian Cooperation

Iran Daily- Real news from the Islamic Republic-

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad raised six issues at the Caspian Sea Summit in Baku that can help pave the way for closer cooperation among the littoral states — Iran, Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
Speaking at the summit on Thursday, Ahmadinejad described the Caspian nations as major countries from the humanitarian, intellectual and moral points of view throughout history and to which human society is indebted.
The Caspian states share many common values that have led to historical bonds between them, he said. “Our common demands including finalization of the Caspian Sea legal regime, fighting drug trafficking , expanding economic, cultural and scientific cooperation…have roots in historical ties,” IRNA quoted him as saying.
He added that the world was currently facing challenging times where the unjust global order had proved to be ineffective while economic relations too were unworkable at best.
“There are many instances regarding these issues. One can point to 9/11 that led to the occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq and the death of hundreds of thousands of people.
“The sad story of [Israeli] occupation of Palestinian lands and other shocking acts of tyranny are part of this unjust world order…while the printing of worthless bonds [by the US government] and plundering the wealth of nations under the guise of repaying national debts, have led to the economic crisis,” he said.
Ahmadinejad said “Since there is no other way [to fix the current pattern of events] other than going back morals and involving the public in the management of the world, I propose six points that can be useful.”
“First is that since culture and human values are among the most important issues to preserve the independence and dignity of our nations, I call on all [Caspian] littoral states to build and expand cultural cooperation”. His second suggestion was “A plan of action for targeted talks and consultations among littoral states on ways to help reform the world order and involve all countries in it.”
His third proposal was the “establishment of joint shipping companies, provide customs facilities and incentives, increase trade, join energy supply networks and expand tourism, cultural and sports interaction between our peoples.”
“The fourth point is that we should finalize the Caspian Sea legal regime by next year.”
Elaborating on his fifth point, the president called for “Expanding trade among the Caspian states by relying on our national currencies that can protect us from the international economic crises and create new opportunities.”
The final proposal urged “Coordination and efforts against threats that threaten the stability and security of the Caspian Sea region. We should prevent the involvement of foreign players in this domain. I hereby announce that the Islamic Republic is ready to cooperate in all these fields.”

Security MoU
At the end of the meeting the five countries signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on security cooperation that calls on the Caspian states to help maintain the security of shipping and navigation.
The 15-point document endorsed by the presidents of Iran, Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan seeks to enhance regional stability.

Russia Ties
Speaking in a meeting with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on Thursday, Ahmadinejad said Tehran and Moscow should stand for each other as two neighbors with common interests.
“Good neighborliness requires Iran and Russia stand beside each other based on common and mutual interest, and this is in the interest of both countries and the region,” Presstv quoted Ahmadinejad as saying.
He pointed to the sanctions imposed on Iran by the UN Security Council and some western states and their allies, and termed them ineffective. “The era of bullying and sanctions is over.”
It was interesting to see that some European countries have stepped up their effort to increase investment in Iran after the UNSC passed its last resolution, he said.
On the rapidly changing global situation he said “The Iranian nation is against the inhuman measures taken by Western powers against other nations. We believe that under the present global order, if Iran and Russia stand together, the enemies will fail in their plots against Iran, Russia and the region.”
Medvedev recalled Ahmadinejad’s stance on common stances and said “Russia seeks to improve its political, economic and even military ties with Iran.”
“Following the [approval of the] sanctions resolution, a group sought to intensify sanctions against Iran, to which Russia strongly opposed and took stance against,” he said.
Ahmadinejad also conferred with his Turkmen and Azeri counterparts Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov and Ilham Aliyev as well as the Azeri Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov. They discussed mutual, regional and international issues.

Criticizing NATO
Referring to the US call on Turkey to host a NATO-planned missile system on its territory, Ahmadinejad singeld out the North Atlantic Treaty Organization for adopting policies based on false premise.
“We regard NATO decision-makers as politically backward and their decisions of no significance to us because they are incapable of playing a role in future developments,” IRNA quoted the president as saying at a press conference in Baku on Thursday.
“Experience shows that NATO leaders have had a wrong interpretation of international developments and their decisions are based on false information,” he said.
“Today nations have awakened and demand justice and respect, and missile shields cannot impede their thinking”.

9/11 Probe
He renewed his call for an independent fact-finding committee on the 9/11 attacks and punishment for all those involved.
“Plotters of the 9/11 should be brought to justice. Though regional nations knew nothing about the event they were occupied [because of it],” he stressed.
“A fact-finding committee should investigate the 9/11 event”.

No Use for Nukes
Ahmadinejad dismissed Western allegations about Iran’s nuclear program, reiterating that Tehran is not interested in nuclear bombs.
“Iranians do not need a nuclear bomb to defend themselves. The nation’s bravery [that] is Iran’s [real] nuclear bomb,” he told Iranians based in Azerbaijan on Wednesday.
“Nuclear bombs belong to countries that are backwarded in a historical sense, and the Iranian nation has no use for it,” he said.

The Truth is Not Enough: How to Overcome Emotional Barriers to 9/11 Truth

The Truth is Not Enough: How to Overcome Emotional Barriers to 9/11 Truth

by Ken Jenkins
May 1, 2009

How many times has this happened to you? You are explaining to someone some of the rational, logical reasons why the official story of 9/11 can’t be true, perhaps explaining how WTC 7 fell in the exact manner of a professionally planned controlled demolition — a job which would typically take weeks to prepare — when out comes a ‘thought stopper’ phrase like:

“That’s just another conspiracy theory!” or …

“Do you also believe in Big Foot and tin foil hats?”

Or perhaps the person gets angry and/or agitated. Facts no longer matter at that point, and you can tell the person does not want to hear any more. For example, the following response came from someone after they were given a 20-minute summary of 9/11 Truth information:

“I wouldn’t believe that, even if it were true!”

That reaction defies all logic and reason. But it clearly illustrates just how irrational some peoples’ defenses can be. Here are a few more honest responses/defenses:

“As long as my wife and kids are fine and we can live the life style we have, the truth is, I don’t really care what happened on 9/11.”
“I would not want to live in a world where such a thing could be true.”
“You can’t expect someone to listen to information that turns their world upside down.”
“I’m not sure I want to know. If this is true, then up would be down and down would be up. My life would never be the same.”
“Look, I have to admit that I seriously resist anyone messing with my worldview!”

Why So Much Resistance to 9/11 Truth?

Ostrich Head in SandSuch reactions are emotionally based. 9/11 is a very emotionally charged issue. The source of the denial and resistance is FEAR. The implications of 9/11 Truth are very scary for most people to take in. Given that a part of our government’s job description is keeping its citizens safe, it’s terrifying to consider that a secret rogue part of our government will do just the opposite — mass murder those very citizens, in order to advance dark agendas — like wars for corporate empire. To further consider that associated ‘secret teams’ would then put out corporate media cover-up stories, in the form of an elaborate fantasy story backed up with planted evidence, and to think that story was nearly universally accepted without question — this is the stuff of nightmares.

Then there is the difficulty of accepting the self-image shattering realization that we were duped by such cover story lies. 9/11 Truth suggests a very uncomfortable and disturbing worldview, especially to those new to such concepts. The intensity of fear brought up by these vast implications causes defense mechanisms to take over our rational thought processes. Such denial most often overrides rationality.

What’s a 9/11 Truth Activist To Do?

How can we overcome such powerful denial? What knowledge about these emotional barriers can empower us to be more effective in reaching larger numbers of our fellow citizens?

Start out by asking questions to find out what the person you are addressing currently thinks and feels about the 9/11 Truth message. Adjust your approach based on what you hear. Based on their responses, reach out and connect though empathy, to express to them an understanding of their difficult position. It’s not that hard to do — after all, most of us went through a similar process of conversion at some point, when we were in denial and uninformed about 9/11. Let them know about your own doubts, how you had a difficult time believing that the official story was false. Explain how upsetting it was for you to consider the alternative — those very inconvenient truths. Even for those of us who were not upset by the idea of 9/11 being an inside job, there was often a difficulty in wrapping our heads around the enormity of it all. Talk about your own difficulties in rejecting the official story.

Reasons for Resistance to the Truth

There are a number of valid reasons why many of us resist the truth of 9/11. What follows are some major ones.

A. The Big Lie: I’ll start with the ‘Big Lie’ because it was the main barrier that kept me from fully accepting the truth of 9/11 as I was researching it in the weeks after the event. The sheer audacity of pulling off something so outrageous in broad daylight, thinking they would get away with it, and the large scale of it all kept me doubting for weeks. My turning point was learning about what really happened at Pearl Harbor — the many warnings that were ignored, the Japanese secret codes that the US had broken, etc. This new understanding, that the attack on Pearl Harbor was clearly allowed to happen, was what finally had me fully accept 9/11 Truth. The comparable number that were deliberately mass murdered, the scale of the event, the audacity, and the 60 years of largely successful cover-up all showed me that a Big Lie had happened before, and worked to fool most of the public, and not all that long ago. It was only later I discovered these quotes:

“The individual is handicapped by coming face to face with a conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists.” ~ J. Edgar Hoover, Director of the FBI

“The masses indulge in petty falsehoods every day, but it would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths. … The bigger the lie, therefore, the likelier it is to be believed.” ~ Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf

B. Major Paradigm Shift: Questioning the official story of 9/11 threatens the foundations of our society, or at least seems to. It challenges our fellow citizens’ belief systems regarding the nature of our government, and even the very nature of our nation. Such questioning is far more profound than, say, questioning a war. Accepting the truth of 9/11 is, for many, a major paradigm shift, an inverting of their worldview. Such shifts risk a period of chaos and uncertainty, which many find scary.

C. Blind Nationalist Faith: 9/11 Truth is a confrontation with the self-image that many Americans have — of their country and of themselves. The self-image Americans have been sold though our school systems and media is that we are the exceptional nation, the good guys wearing the white hats, the bringers of democracy and freedom. Such nationalistic faith can exceed religious faith in its dogmatic blindness. David Ray Griffin has an article on this subject elsewhere in this issue. [See article ps. XX-XX] and, Dr. Griffin also addresses these issues in a DVD titled “9/11 and Nationalist Faith.”

D. Projecting Parental Duties on Authorities: In his book As If We Were Grownups, author Jeff Golden’s thoughtful assertion is that, “We consistently elect [political] candidates who tell us what children would want to hear. Children want to hear that everything is okay, that little is required of them, that they can go out and play or watch TV, and that they’ll be taken care of and protected. In exchange, they are expected to be seen and not heard, to pay their taxes, to take their flu shots, and to not question the authorities.”

E. Admission of Gullibility: Anyone we are introducing 9/11 Truth to now has believed the official story for years. To accept 9/11 Truth they have to admit they were duped, deceived, and manipulated for all that time. That brings up questions of gullibility, naïveté, lack of perceptiveness, obliviousness, etc. Most of us have resistance to admitting such shortcomings. Astronomer Carl Sagan sums it up nicely:

“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It is simply too painful to acknowledge — even to ourselves — that we’ve been so credulous [i.e. gullible].”

F. The Rabbit Hole Effect — Wider Implications: To believe 9/11 Truth, one also has to believe many other difficult truths, such as:

  • Parts of our corporate media must be incredibly corrupt to be complicit in such a massive cover-up;
  • There must be a powerful, secret, hidden government that is capable of planning and executing such a horrible and unthinkable act;
  • Some of our leaders are more corrupt and malicious than most of us would want to believe.

But one has only to remember the words of philosopher and statesman, Edmund Burke, to understand how corruption tends to prosper especially in good times:
“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

G. Apathy and Complacency: Radio talk show host Mike Rivero sheds some light on why so many people are apathetic and complacent about changing their beliefs:

“Most people prefer to believe their leaders are just and fair even in the face of evidence to the contrary, because once a citizen acknowledges that the government under which they live is lying and corrupt, the citizen has to choose what he or she will do about it. To take action in the face of a corrupt government entails risks of harm to life and loved ones. To choose to do nothing is to surrender one’s self-image of standing for principles. Most people do not have the courage to face that choice. Hence, most propaganda is not designed to fool the critical thinker but only to give moral cowards an excuse not to think at all.”

H. PTSD — Post Traumatic Stress Disorder: 9/11 was first and foremost a psyop, shorthand for a Psychological Operation. It is a term used by secret services like the CIA to describe a class of operations that are intended to manipulate the emotions of populations; it is a form of mind control.
The specific intention of 9/11 was to terrorize the American people into supporting the so-called “war on terror,” which is a replacement for the cold war’s “war on communism.” It’s a blank check for the US government and the American military-industrial-complex to attack anyone, anywhere they want, anytime they want — to support the empire.

The psyop initially worked for a vast majority of US citizens, and for many, it is still working.

The terror that so many felt during and after the attacks left many people, particularly in New York City, with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder — PTSD. To revisit those events, as is necessary to expose the truth of 9/11, can retrigger that stress and add to the other discomforts that are already intrinsic to that same truth we are revealing. The desire to minimize re-experiencing that trauma causes people to back away. We need to go easy on those who exhibit such stress.

I. Lack of Knowledge of Historical Parallels or Patterns: While not strictly an emotional issue, the ignorance most people have about the many false flag events used to justify wars throughout history also has a psychological component. Our ability to conceptualize new information is dependent on having a frame of reference, that is, already knowing something similar, in order to be able to anchor a new thought. The lack of such historical reference points, therefore, can be yet another source of resistance. This blockage is perhaps the easiest one to deal with — by educating people about the long history of false flag events used for triggering wars.

The Awakening Will Take Time

These are most of the major reasons why so many people resist 9/11 Truth. By understanding them, we can meet people with empathy and understanding, and have more patience with them. Patience is so important because for most, awakening to 9/11 Truth is a gradual process, often taking weeks, months, or even years. In light of that, try to be sensitive when presenting evidence, so as to notice when a person is ‘full’ — when they have heard enough for the moment, and need space to digest and absorb the new, and often, disturbing concepts.

The truth about Iran

Can You Pass The Iran Quiz

04.26.2010 | Counter Currents

What can possibly justify the relentless U.S. diplomatic (and mainstream media) assault on Iran ?

It cannot be argued that Iran is an aggressive state that is dangerous to its neighbors, as facts do not support this claim. It cannot be relevant that Iran adheres to Islamic fundamentalism, has a flawed democracy and denies women full western-style civil rights, as Saudi Arabia is more fundamentalist, far less democratic and more oppressive of women, yet it is a U.S. ally. It cannot be relevant that Iran has, over the years, had a nuclear research program, and is most likely pursuing the capacity to develop nuclear weapons, as Pakistan, India, Israel and other states are nuclear powers yet remain U.S. allies—indeed, Israel deceived the U.S. while developing its nuclear program.

The answer to the above-posed question is fairly obvious: Iran must be punished for leaving the orbit of U.S. control. Since the Islamic Revolution in 1979, when the Shah was removed, Iran, unlike, say, Saudi Arabia, acts independently and thus compromises U.S. power in two ways: i) Defiance of U.S. dictates affects the U.S.’s attainment of goals linked to Iran; and, ii) Defiance of U.S. dictates establishes a “bad” example for other countries that may wish to pursue an independent course. The Shah could commit any number of abuses—widespread torture, for example—yet his loyalty to the U.S. exempted him from American condemnation—yet not from the condemnation of the bulk of Iranians who brought him down.

The following quiz is an attempt to introduce more balance into the mainstream discussion of Iran.

Iran Quiz Questions :

1. Is Iran an Arab country?

2. Has Iran launched an aggressive war of conquest against another country since 1900?

3. How many known cases of an Iranian suicide-bomber have there been from 1989 to 2007?

4. What was Iran ’s defense spending in 2008?

5. What was the U.S. ’s defense spending in 2008?

6. What is the Jewish population of Iran ?

7. Which Iranian leader said the following? “This [ Israel ‘s] Occupation regime over Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time.”

8. True of False: Iranian television presented a serial sympathetic to Jews during the Holocaust that coincided with President Ahmadinejad’s first term.

9. What percentage of students entering university in Iran is female?

10. What percentage of the Iranian population attends Friday prayers?

11. True or False: Iran has formally consented to the Arab League’s 2002 peace initiative with Israel.

12. Which two countries were responsible for orchestrating the 1953 overthrow of Iran’s populist government of democratically elected prime minister Mohammad Mossadegh, primarily because he introduced legislation that led to the nationalization of Iranian oil?

13. Who made the following address on March 17, 2000? “In 1953 the United States played a significant role in orchestrating the overthrow of Iran’s popular prime minister, Mohammad Mossadegh. The Eisenhower administration believed its actions were justified for strategic reasons. But the coup was clearly a setback for Iran’s political development. And it is easy to see now why many Iranians continue to resent this intervention by America in their internal affairs.”

14. Which countries trained the Shah’s brutal internal security service, SAVAK?

15. Does Iran have nuclear weapons?

16. Is Iran a signatory of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT)?

17. Is Israel a signatory of the NPT?

18. Does the NPT permit a signatory to pursue a nuclear program?

19. Who wrote the following in 2004? “Wherever U.S forces go, nuclear weapons go with them or can be made to follow in short order. The world has witnessed how the United States attacked Iraq for, as it turned out, no reason at all. Had the Iranians not tried to build nuclear weapons, they would be crazy. Though Iran is ruled by Islamic fundamentalists, most commentators who are familiar with the country do not regard its government as irrational. …  [I]t was Saddam Hussein who attacked Iran, not the other way around; since then Iran has been no more aggressive than most countries are. For all their talk of opposition to Israel , Iran ’s rulers are very unlikely to mount a nuclear attack on a country that is widely believed to have what it takes to wipe them off the map. Chemical or other attacks are also unlikely, given the meager results that may be expected and the retaliation that would almost certainly follow.”

20. What percentage of Iranians in 2008 said they had an unfavorable view of the American people?

21. What percentage of Iranians in 2008 expressed negative sentiments toward the Bush administration?

22. What were the main elements of Iran’s 2003 Proposal to the U.S., communicated during the build-up to the Iraq invasion, and how did the U.S. respond to Iran’s Proposal?

23. True or False: Iran and the U.S. both considered the Taleban to be an enemy after the 9/11 attacks.

24. Did the U.S. work with the Tehran-based Supreme Council of the Islamic Revolution in Iraq both before and after the 2003 invasion and occupation of Iraq?

25. In the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, who said the following? “The Iranians had real contacts with important players in Afghanistan and were prepared to use their influence in constructive ways in coordination with the United States .”

26. Who wrote the following in 2004? “It is in the interests of the United States to engage selectively with Iran to promote regional stability, dissuade Iran from pursuing nuclear weapons, preserve reliable energy supplies, reduce the threat of terror, and address the ‘democracy deficit’ that pervades the Middle East …”

Bin Laden tape is real, French say.

Posted in News on October 29, 2010 by dino

Bin Laden warns France to get out of Afghanistan.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

It seems like every week the U.S government is coming out with “another” audio/videotape of Osama Bin Laden threatening Americans. DON’T BE FOOLED PEOPLE!!!! Our government has been faking Bin Laden images since the beginning. Take a good look at the first “Osama” fake release by our government. You’ll see the man on the right is the real Osama. The man on the left is a fake. The man on the left is the one who supposedly “confessed” to master minding the events of 9/11. You can see it isn’t even a close resemblance to the real Osama.

A videotape purportedly showing Osama bin Laden confessing to the 9/11 attacks was made public on December 13, 2001:
The tape bore a label indicating it was made on November 9. Administration officials wouldn’t reveal exactly how or when they got it, except to say it was found in a house in Jalalabad after anti-Taliban forces moved in. [Online NewsHour]

The videotape was supposedly physically located.
The size of a standard VHS videotape is 7.5 inches wide by 4.2 inches deep by 1 inch high – if you look in a video cabinet you’ll see they’re not very big. The satellite photograph on the right shows Jalalabad – it is very big and it contains a lot of buildings (not all single story).

Don’t you find it somewhat fortuitous that a very small video tape of Osama confessing to the 9/11 attacks was found in this very big city? Were squads of video watchers sent in to view every tape found just in case one showed Osama confessing?

Here’s what was said of the lucky find>

“For those who see this tape, they’ll realize that not only is he guilty of incredible murder, he has no conscience and no soul, that he represents the worst of civilization,” said President George W Bush. US Senator Ron Wyden, who has also seen the tape, says he hopes it will remove suspicions in countries such as Pakistan that the 11 September attacks were an Israeli plot aimed at drawing the US into a war with Islamic countries. [BBC News]

Let’s take an even closer look and you’ll see these two images look nothing alike.

The government tried to take the deception even further by putting the “fake” Osama on Newsweek magazine.

Here’s another government “osama” fake from 2004. As you can see, it’s a closer fake than the one before…..but it’s still a fake…yes another lie by the U.S. government.

Now, let’s look at the U.S. governments most recent Bin Laden fake from 2007 and compare it to the fake Bin Laden of 2004. Still no match.

OSAMA BIN LADEN HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ATTACKS ON 9/11 NOR DID HE CLAIM RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY TERRORIST ATTACK….EVER!! (Note: although we at TheConspiracyZone do not accept the belief in Islam as the absolute truth nor do we defend it’s principals. As a matter of fact as a Christian, I do not accept the basic principles of the Koran. We do, however, want to point out what Osama Bin Laden actually said and what his beliefs were of the events of 9/11 and show you he NEVER took responsibility for it but actually emphatically DENIED any involvement. All this, in spite of all the U.S. government faked videos and audiotapes attributed to him. It is our opinion that Bin Laden has been dead since at least 2002. His kidneys were failing and there is no way he could have lived much longer than that. Now, the U.S. government keeps trying to dig up this “boogie man” to keep you in fear and therefore allows our government to pass unconstitutional laws to keep America’s citizens in bondage and restrict the movements of it’s people. Let’s look at what Bin Laden actually said after the attacks in this exclusive interview:

Ummat Interviews Usamah Bin-Ladin
28 September 2001

Bin-Ladin Denies Involvement in the 9/11 Attacks

Source: Khilafah.com, 10 Oct 2001

The Al-Qaidah group had nothing to do with the 11 September attacks on the USA, according to Osama bin Ladin in an interview with the Pakistani newspaper Ummat. Osama bin Ladin went on to suggest that Jews or US secret services were behind the attacks. The following is the text of an interview conducted by a “special correspondent”, published in the Pakistani newspaper Ummat on 28 September, place and date of interview not given.

UMMAT: You have been accused of involvement in the attacks in New York and Washington. What do you want to say about this? If you are not involved, who might be?

Multicolor Flashing Bullet

OSAMA BIN LADEN: In the name of Allah (God), the most beneficent, the most merciful. Praise be to Allah, Who is the creator of the whole universe and Who made the Earth as an abode for peace, for the whole humankind. Allah is the Sustainer, who sent Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) for our guidance. I am thankful to the Ummat Group of Publications, which gave me the opportunity to convey my viewpoint to the people, particularly the valiant and momin (true Muslim) people of Pakistan who refused to believe the lies of the demon (Pakistani military dictator General Pervez Musharraf).

Electric Green Divider

I have already said that I am not involved in the 11 September attacks in the United States. As a Muslim, I try my best to avoid telling a lie. I had no knowledge of these attacks, nor do I consider the killing of innocent women, children and other humans as an appreciable act. Islam strictly forbids causing harm to innocent women, children and other people. Such a practice is forbidden even in the course of a battle.
